Part‑Time Bookkeeper (Sage Line 50)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Bookkeeper to support the finance function of Hepworth Brewery Ltd. The role will focus on purchase‑ledger processing and day‑to‑day bookkeeping using Sage Line 50, reporting to the Head of Administration and working closely with the company accountant.

Key responsibilities

• Enter purchase invoices into Sage Line 50 and obtain departmental approval.
• Maintain records of payments due and process supplier payments as instructed.
• Reconcile the company current account weekly and the invoice‑finance account monthly.
• Cash up shop takings and reconcile petty‑cash daily.
• File invoices in chronological order and supervise contra payments.
• Match supplier statements to the purchase ledger and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Proven experience using Sage Line 50 for bookkeeping or purchase‑ledger tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to work independently.
