Part‑time Chef – Retirement Community (Cambridgeshire)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Chef to join our retirement community kitchen in Cambridgeshire. You will prepare nutritious, restaurant‑quality meals for residents while enjoying a balanced schedule with no late nights or split shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present high‑standard meals that meet individual dietary needs.
• Work closely with the Chef Manager to maintain a calm, well‑structured kitchen environment.
• Plan menus, purchase supplies and manage food and labour budgets.
• Oversee stock control, conduct audits and keep accurate records.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards are consistently met.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality kitchen.
• Ability to follow food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards.
• Strong organisational skills for budgeting and stock management.
• Team‑oriented attitude and commitment to resident‑focused service.
