Part‑time Cleaner – 20 hrs/week

About the role

We are looking for a reliable part‑time Cleaner to join a busy office environment in Reading. The role involves 20 hours per week, primarily early mornings, ensuring the premises are spotless and hygienic for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Dust, sweep, vacuum and mop floors; empty waste bins.
• Wipe desks, chairs and other surfaces, removing marks and stains.
• Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins and related washroom facilities.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and perform spot cleaning as needed.
• Operate electric floor‑scrubbing and polishing machines.
• Clean internal windows and glass surfaces to a smear‑free finish.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels.
• Carry out deep‑cleaning tasks and special projects on request.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely according to instructions.
• Move equipment or furniture to support office reconfigurations.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards or concerns to the supervisor.

• Previous cleaning experience desirable but not essential; full training provided.

What we offer

• Hourly rate between £12.21 and £12.71.
