Part‑time Commis Chef – Blackburn

About the role

Join Marston's award‑winning pub team in Blackburn as a Commis Chef. You will support the kitchen by preparing and cooking dishes from our pub menu, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, cooking and plating to meet menu specifications.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety throughout the kitchen.
• Support the kitchen team in daily operations, including stock handling and cleaning.
• Learn and follow kitchen procedures and develop new prepping skills.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar kitchen role or a willingness to learn quickly.
• Ability to work effectively within a team in a busy setting.
• Passion for delivering hot, high‑quality food consistently.
• Flexibility to work part‑time hours, around 16 hrs per week.
