Part‑time Commis Chef – Whitstable

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our award‑winning pub team in Whitstable. You will help bring our pub menu to life, learning new prep techniques and supporting the kitchen daily.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking across all kitchen stations.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Support the kitchen team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ensure dishes are delivered hot and to specification.
• Help with stock rotation and basic inventory tasks.

Required profile

• Passion for food and hospitality.
• Willingness to learn kitchen procedures and develop culinary skills.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to work part‑time hours, including evenings.

Required skills

• Basic food preparation techniques.
• Understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
