About the role

Join a dedicated team at Middlefield House, a residential care home in Gainsborough, providing nutritious meals for 18 residents with physical disabilities and mental health conditions. This part‑time, temporary role offers a supportive environment where you can make a daily difference.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages in line with residents' dietary requirements.
• Carry out quality checks on prepared food and storage conditions.
• Plan menus that reflect residents' preferences and nutritional needs.
• Assist with food service to ensure a dignified dining experience.
• Maintain accurate stock records and order supplies as needed.
• Uphold kitchen hygiene and safety standards, including deep‑cleaning tasks.

Required profile

• A genuine caring nature with a desire to support vulnerable residents.
• Experience as a cook; a Food Hygiene or Catering qualification is desirable but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking.
• Menu planning for specific dietary needs.
• Stock management and ordering.

What we offer
