Part‑time Credit Controller – Flexible Hours

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team on a part‑time basis. The role offers genuine flexibility around working hours, making it ideal for candidates who need to balance work with other commitments while contributing to healthy cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Chase outstanding invoices primarily via telephone.
• Build strong relationships with customers to encourage prompt payment.
• Manage a personal portfolio of customer accounts.
• Resolve invoice queries quickly by liaising with internal departments.
• Negotiate payment plans where appropriate.
• Allocate incoming payments accurately and maintain up‑to‑date customer records.
• Produce aged debt reports and highlight overdue accounts.
• Escalate long‑outstanding debts when necessary.
• Support the wider finance team with ad‑hoc administrative duties.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Credit Control role.
• Confident, professional telephone manner.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a focus on customer service.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
