Part‑Time Finance Assistant – Accounts Support

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Finance Assistant to support the finance team of an established non‑profit organisation in Andover. The role will run for approximately six months, offering the chance to gain hands‑on experience in accounts payable and finance administration within a collaborative, community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, expense claims and credit‑card transactions accurately, adhering to established procedures.
• Manage the finance inbox, prepare routine reports and contribute to overall process efficiency.
• Identify and suggest improvements, particularly around automation of purchase‑order systems and other finance workflows.
• Enter data and perform reconciliations to support month‑end closing activities.
• Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth day‑to‑day finance operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment, preferably with exposure to accounts payable and expense processing.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
