Part‑time Finance Manager

About the role
This part‑time Finance Manager will support the Finance Director of a manufacturing business in Verwood. You will be responsible for the full accounts and payroll function while also handling general office administration.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and enter month‑end journals in Sage.
- Compile accrual and pre‑payment schedules.
- Oversee sales and purchase ledger activity and chase unpaid or incorrect invoices.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Check and approve weekly payroll, advise on holiday, sickness and maternity payments.
- Process monthly PAYE and National Insurance contributions.
- Assist the Finance Director with long‑term business planning.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Assistant Management Accountant or Management Accountant.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to work 20‑25 hours per week with some flexibility.
