Part‑time GCSE Outreach Tutor (SEN Experience)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a part‑time GCSE Outreach Tutor to deliver one‑to‑one lessons for pupils who have been out of education for a period of time. The role focuses on re‑engaging learners, especially those with SEND or low confidence, and helping them prepare for reintegration into school.

Key responsibilities

• Create, plan and deliver tailored 1:1 GCSE lessons that address individual gaps.
• Provide structure and motivation to improve pupil confidence and attainment.
• Monitor progress closely and report updates to Prospero Teaching.
• Adapt teaching times to suit the family’s schedule, typically within the Hillingdon community or pupils’ homes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven UK classroom teaching experience.
• Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional child‑related references.
