Part‑Time GP Receptionist (20 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Receptionist to join the front‑desk team at St Brycedale Surgery, a four‑partner GP practice in Kirkcaldy. The role is 20 hours per week, working flexibly between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm with one rotational extended shift to 6:45 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all reception and administrative duties to ensure smooth practice operations.
• Sign‑post patients, manage appointments, process prescription requests and respond to general enquiries.
• Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary clinical team.
• Use GP clinical systems for patient registration and record keeping (advantageous).

Required profile

• Organised, proactive and responsible with a strong customer‑service focus.
• Confident communicator who works well both in a team and independently.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure, maintain attention to detail and uphold confidentiality.
• Flexibility to cover staff absences, holidays and occasional overtime.

Required skills

• Competency with GP clinical systems.
