Part‑time Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Lewisham

About the role

Remedy Education is looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive primary school in Lewisham, South East London. The role starts in September 2026 and runs three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) on a part‑time, fixed‑term basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across multiple year groups.
• Support class teachers and provide cover when needed.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and engagement.
• Contribute to planning, assessment and tracking of pupil progress.

Required profile

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a primary setting.
• Proven experience as an HLTA in a primary school.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Proactive, flexible and committed to supporting pupil development.

Required skills

• Ability to lead learning confidently as an HLTA.
