Part‑Time Housekeeper

About the role

Join the housekeeping team at The Avalon Centre in Swindon on a part‑time basis (16 hours per week). You will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for men and women receiving neuro‑behavioral rehabilitation for complex mental health and addiction needs.

Key responsibilities

• Clean all service areas, including wards, bedrooms, office spaces and visitor areas.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all spaces meet high cleanliness standards.
• Follow hospital security policies and relevant health‑care cleaning procedures.
• Provide courteous telephone and front‑desk support to visitors and service users.
• Maintain good working relationships with staff, visitors and service users.
• Attend mandatory training and any additional tasks appropriate to the role.

Required profile

• Previous experience cleaning in a similar healthcare or residential setting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to prioritise duties, communicate effectively and resolve problems quickly.
• Professional attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
