Part‑Time HR Generalist – 25‑30 hrs/week

About the role

This part‑time HR Generalist position supports an organisation operating between Hatfield and St Albans. Working 25‑30 hours per week on‑site, you will act as the primary HR contact, overseeing the employee lifecycle and ensuring smooth people processes.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑ordinate the full recruitment process, partnering with hiring managers and external recruitment agencies.
• Manage the candidate journey from application through to offer, ensuring a professional experience.
• Oversee onboarding, welcoming new employees and facilitating their integration.
• Review, update and maintain HR policies, procedures and documentation.
• Support the rollout and administration of the company’s HRIS system.
• Serve as the first point of contact for day‑to‑day HR queries from employees and managers.
• Liaise with external HR specialists for complex employee‑relations matters.
• Ensure HR practices comply with current employment legislation and internal policies.
• Produce HR‑related reports and assist with compliance tasks.

Required profile

• Broad HR generalist experience with the ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships across all levels of a business.
• Organised, proactive and practical approach to HR work.
• Comfortable being visible and accessible in an office environment.
• Resident within a reasonable commuting distance of Hatfield or St Albans.

• Pro‑rata salary range £31,250 – £37,500 (based on a £50k full‑time salary).
