About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver (Postie) on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract in Glasgow. You will deliver letters and parcels across your local area, working a rotating shift schedule that includes weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Bishopbriggs delivery office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot, covering up to 12 miles per shift.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and handle high‑volume periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Physically fit for long walks, climbing stairs/hills and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
