Part‑time Purchase Ledger Clerk

About the role

This part‑time position supports the finance team by handling purchase ledger activities. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work within a friendly, collaborative environment and help ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and purchase orders.

Key responsibilities

• Raise supplier purchase order requests using the ERP system.
• Submit invoices to the central Accounts Payable team for posting.
• Process supplier invoices on internal finance systems and ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal departments to meet month‑end deadlines.
• Monitor the finance email inbox, distribute invoices, and direct supplier queries.
• Assist with accounts payable enquiries, credit control requests, and provide supporting documentation.
• Update daily cashbooks, raise customer credit notes, and perform weekly sales and purchase uploads.
• Investigate data‑mapping issues to ensure correct vendor postings.
• Order office stationery on an ad‑hoc basis using the purchase order process.
• Provide general office administration support, including telephone handling and post management.

Required profile

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a professional, customer‑focused approach.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external suppliers.

Required skills

• Experience using an ERP system for purchase order and invoice processing.
• Familiarity with accounts payable and credit control procedures.
