Part‑time Retail Assistant – 20 hrs/week

About the role

Farmfoods is seeking a friendly and reliable Retail Assistant to join its Kirkcaldy store on a permanent part‑time basis. The role offers around 20 hours per week across four days, including weekends, and provides a supportive environment for people studying or balancing other commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and assist them in locating products.
• Operate the tills, handle transactions and offer help with bagging.
• Receive deliveries, stock freezers and shelves, and maintain product presentation.
• Carry out cleaning, stock rotation and other routine tasks to keep the shop safe and tidy.

Required profile

• Positive, hard‑working attitude and enjoyment of a busy retail environment.
• Reliability and flexibility to cover shift variations when teammates are on holiday.
• Ability to work well within a small team and follow a rota planned three weeks in advance.
