About the role
The NASUWT is seeking a Part‑Time Senior Regional Official to join its Greater London team. You will work alongside lay officers and regional officials to provide advice, casework management and representation for teachers and school leaders across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day casework, providing advice and support to members.
- Represent members in disciplinary hearings, professional regulatory proceedings and Employment Tribunals.
- Promote the union’s organising strategy and handle a full range of employee‑relations issues.
- Collaborate with regional officials and lay officers to allocate and monitor casework.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of employment law and employee‑relations practice.
- Tenacity, objectivity and the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of members.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
Required skills
What we offer
- Salary of £32,331 (full‑time equivalent £80,828).
- 14 hours per week on two consecutive days.
- 50 days annual leave inclusive of public holidays, pro‑rated.
- Hybrid working and a defined‑benefit pension scheme.
- Office based near London Bridge.
