Part‑Time Supply Support Assistant (Teaching Assistant)

About the role

This part‑time, temporary position supports classroom learning in a school‑based setting from early September 2026. You will work alongside teachers to help deliver engaging activities and maintain a safe, inclusive environment for pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and development within the classroom.
• Assist teachers in delivering activities and learning tasks.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Provide individual or small‑group support where needed.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
• Help with classroom preparation and organisation.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, caring nature, and adaptability.
• Effective team‑working capabilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
