Passenger Experience Assistant (14 hrs/week, Fixed-term)

About the role

As a Passenger Experience Assistant you will be one of the first faces passengers encounter at London Southend Airport. Working 14 hours per week on a fixed‑term basis, you will help deliver the high standards of service expected by travellers while supporting a range of airport operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist passengers at check‑in desks, handling baggage and flight documentation.
• Support boarding procedures at departure gates.
• Provide mobility assistance for passengers with reduced mobility.
• Cover duties in food & beverage and retail outlets as required.
• Help the cleaning team maintain terminal presentation standards.
• Assist customers using surface access facilities (e.g., buses, taxis).
• Flexibly undertake additional tasks to meet business needs, including out‑of‑hours shifts.

Required profile

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous customer‑service experience with a focus on high standards.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
