Pastry Chef/Baker – Busy Café Bakery in London

About the role

The Chef Foundation is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef/Baker to support the Head Baker in a busy all‑day café/restaurant located in one of London’s parks. You will work across three bustling sites, producing sourdough, ciabatta, cakes, traybakes, muffins and pastries for both eat‑in and food‑to‑go counters.

Key responsibilities

• Meet daily production targets for all three sites.
• Develop and manage recipes and production schedules.
• Oversee accurate packing, stock management and ordering.
• Drive new product development and staff training.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Passion for pastry, bread and high‑quality ingredients.
• Previous experience in a commercial bakery or patisserie.
• Punctual, organized and meticulous attention to detail.
• Creative flair and financial awareness.
• Enthusiastic, reliable with a “can‑do” attitude.

Required skills

• Operating Chandley ovens.
• Using Ferneto mixers.
• Operating JAC slicer equipment.
• Stock management.
• Food safety and hygiene compliance.
