Pathway Co-ordinator (Waiting list)

About the role

The Pathway Co-ordinator (Waiting list) provides an efficient waiting‑list service for consultants and their teams within an NHS Trust. You will work flexibly alongside waiting‑list staff, consultants and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.

Key responsibilities

• Manage booking and cancellation of appointments using the Lorenzo system.
• Maintain and monitor work lists in Lorenzo and the E‑Referral system.
• Support the Band 4 Team Leader with day‑to‑day team management, including training, mentoring, appraisals and return‑to‑work interviews.
• Attend relevant meetings and deputise for the Team Leader during periods of absence.
• Collaborate with consultants, waiting‑list staff and other clinical teams to deliver timely patient care.

Required profile

• GCSE English (or equivalent) and strong written communication skills.
• Advanced IT literacy with experience across multiple applications.
• Full knowledge of booking and cancelling appointments in Lorenzo.
• Awareness of work lists in both Lorenzo and the E‑Referral system.
• Understanding of RTT, completed online RTT training, and ability to demonstrate this at interview.
• Demonstrable experience in a Band 2 administrative role, preferably patient‑facing.
