Patient Admin Co-ordinator & Team Secretary

About the role

The Patient Admin Co-ordinator & Team Secretary provides essential administrative support to the Gelligaer district nursing team. This role ensures smooth telephone, computer and filing operations, enabling the nursing team to focus on patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Answering a high volume of telephone calls, including direct patient contact.
• Coordinating updates and entries in the team’s scheduling system.
• Providing computer support to the manager, including data entry and document preparation.
• Maintaining accurate filing systems and handling confidential information.
• Supporting day‑to‑day administrative tasks for the district nursing team.

Required profile

• Experience in an administrative or secretarial role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential records.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workload.
