Patient Administrator – NHS Hospital

About the role

The Patient Administrator role supports the delivery of a continuous, patient‑focused service across several hospitals within the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. Working 37.5 hours per week on a shift pattern, you will provide essential administrative assistance that enhances the patient journey.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate directly with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate appointment bookings and manage outpatient clinic correspondence.
• Ensure accurate and timely flow of information between clinicians and support services.
• Handle administrative actions arising from clinic activity.
• Support service continuity across multiple sites, including Southampton General, Adanac Park, Royal South Hants, Princess Anne and Lymington hospitals.
