About the role
We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to support an established client in Gatwick for an initial five‑month assignment. The role is focused on processing payroll data, handling employee queries and ensuring compliance with UK tax and statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to employee payroll queries promptly.
- Prepare payroll inputs and perform bulk uploads to the external payroll bureau.
- Conduct payroll checks and calculate manual payments where required.
- Manage pension and benefit reports, transferring data into templates for the bureau and liaising with providers.
- Submit P45 forms and handle third‑party remittances by extracting data from payroll reports.
Required profile
- Good understanding of UK Tax & NI legislation, statutory payments and salary‑sacrifice schemes.
- Experience with payroll processes, even if payroll is outsourced.
- Ability to treat confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
