Payroll Administrator

About the role

We are an award‑winning accountancy practice seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our busy payroll team. You will deliver accurate end‑to‑end payroll services for a diverse client portfolio while providing exceptional client support.

Key responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end payroll for a varied client portfolio, covering weekly, fortnightly, four‑weekly and monthly runs.
• Handle CIS payrolls and subcontractor payments.
• Submit RTI returns to HMRC and calculate statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP.
• Process starters, leavers, payroll amendments and manage pension auto‑enrolment.
• Resolve payroll queries and maintain compliance with payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.

Required profile

• Previous end‑to‑end payroll experience within an accountancy practice, umbrella company or payroll bureau.
• Experience processing payroll for multiple clients and strong knowledge of RTI submissions.
• Familiarity with CIS payroll and a solid understanding of payroll legislation.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills, high accuracy and attention to detail.
