Payroll Administrator – Part‑time

About the role

Our client is looking for a part‑time Payroll Administrator to support a portfolio of clients across South East England. You will be responsible for processing payrolls accurately and on time, while liaising with clients and handling HMRC enquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly, four‑weekly and monthly payrolls using Sage 50.
• Submit Real‑Time Information (RTI) to HMRC.
• Manage a client portfolio, ensuring payrolls are processed correctly and efficiently.
• Liaise with clients, manage expectations and resolve payroll issues.
• Handle HMRC enquiries and manage pension contributions for schemes such as Nest, Peoples Pensions and True Potential.
• Process starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, pension deductions, attachments/DEA’s, amendments and salary calculations.
• Deal with NI, tax queries and payroll year‑end activities.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and queries.

Required profile

• Experience with Sage 50 payroll and RTI submissions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Good communication skills for client interaction.
