Payroll Administrator – Payroll Admin Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a confident Payroll Administrator to join a growing energy company in Waltham Abbey. This newly created position offers the opportunity to develop your payroll expertise and progress within the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Input, verify and process timesheets, holidays, absences, overtime and other payroll variables before submission.
• Prepare and post payroll journals for multiple entities, ensuring correct coding to nominal codes, cost centres and entities.
• Calculate 12‑month average pay for reporting purposes.
• Assist with pension enquiries as required.
• Provide cover and support to the wider finance team when needed.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and complete other tasks requested by the finance department.

Required profile

• Confident and motivated to grow within payroll.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet month‑end deadlines.
• Willing to work on‑site during the six‑month probation period and adopt a hybrid schedule thereafter.
• Ready to support the finance team and engage in project work.

• Title: Payroll Admin Supervisor (salary DOE).
• Working structure: 5 days on‑site during probation, 1 day remote thereafter.
• Working hours: 9 am – 5 pm.
• Location: Waltham Abbey, London.
