About the role
We are seeking a temporary Payroll Administrator to support a West Sussex‑based charity while covering long‑term sickness. The role starts on 29 June 2026 and offers a flexible remote working arrangement, with a preference for on‑site presence in Worthing.
Key responsibilities
- Process end‑to‑end payroll for approximately 1,500 staff on a 4‑weekly and weekly basis.
- Perform manual payroll calculations and ensure accurate PAYE deductions.
- Maintain payroll records and respond to employee queries.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll issues promptly.
Required profile
- Minimum 2‑3 years of hands‑on payroll experience.
- Experience handling large staff numbers and multiple pay cycles.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Required skills
- Brightpay (preferred but not essential).
