Payroll Advisor – Weekly Payroll & Benefits

About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Advisor to join a manufacturing business in Warrington on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end weekly payroll processing across multiple sites and will act as a key point of contact for payroll‑related queries from staff and directors.

Key responsibilities

• Process the weekly payroll from start to finish for several locations.
• Set up and pay new starters and manage leavers, including termination payments.
• Calculate redundancy, SMP, SPP, SSP and other statutory payments.
• Provide comprehensive advice on payroll queries to employees and senior management.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HMRC legislation and ensure procedures reflect current regulations.

Required profile

• Experience delivering payroll advice to internal customers and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to handle high‑volume starter and leaver activity.
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
