Payroll Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join a stable telecommunications organisation based near Beaconsfield. The role will support the end‑to‑end payroll process, ensuring accurate data, timely payments and compliance with UK payroll regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly payroll, maintaining up‑to‑date employee records.
• Process payroll changes such as overtime, pensions, benefits, leave, deductions and employee updates.
• Maintain payroll systems and ensure alignment between HR, payroll and finance records.
• Assist with payroll accounting activities, including reconciliations and journal postings.
• Administer pensions, healthcare, childcare, HMRC processes and other employee benefit schemes.
• Contribute to payroll‑related projects, process improvements and system enhancements.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, external providers and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth payroll service.

Required profile

• Previous experience in UK payroll processing.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work proactively.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to develop further.
• Residence within commuting distance of Beaconsfield (driver preferred).
