Payroll Assistant – Temp-to-Perm in Middleton

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Payroll Assistant to join our friendly finance team on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. This full‑time, office‑based position offers the chance to support the payroll process while gaining exposure to broader finance and administration duties.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the end‑to‑end payroll process, including timesheets, employee records and payroll administration.
• Maintaining accurate payroll and financial records.
• Assisting with payroll queries and keeping employee information up‑to‑date.
• Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices.
• Supporting bank reconciliations and general finance administration.
• Undertaking ad‑hoc accounts, payroll and administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in payroll, payroll administration, finance administration or a similar finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Ability to start immediately or within two weeks.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and data analysis.

What we offer
