Payroll Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious and proactive Payroll Coordinator to join a leading US law firm with ultra‑modern offices in the City of London. You will support end‑to‑end payroll processing for over 1,000 UK staff and additional EMEA locations, working closely with Finance and HR teams to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely delivery each month.

Key responsibilities

• Process UK and EMEA payrolls, entering new starter details, leavers and payroll variables.
• Flag discrepancies, handle P45s and support P11D/PSA preparation.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance on payroll submissions, approvals and monthly client invoicing.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK payroll legislation and benefits rules.
• Prepare and upload pension data in line with regulator requirements.
• Assist the US team with shadow payroll processing.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of payroll experience in a similar role.
• Payroll qualification or CIPP membership preferred.
• Strong understanding of UK legislation and benefits rules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience with ADP, SDWorx and COUPA is desirable.
