Payroll Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our finance team in Leeds. You will be responsible for processing weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accurate HMRC reporting and supporting broader finance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payroll runs
• Submit EPS and other HMRC reports on time
• Analyse timesheet data and produce payroll‑related reports
• Manage Attachment of Earnings requirements and payments
• Support annual P11D processing and Gender Pay Gap reporting
• Handle new starter, leaver and P45 administration
• Respond to employee payslip queries
• Submit pension and union fee deductions

Required profile

• Previous payroll experience
• Knowledge of PAYE and NI calculations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
