Payroll Manager – International Payroll & Dayforce Implementation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our end‑to‑end payroll function across the UK and overseas. You will own the full payroll cycle, drive the migration to Ceridian Dayforce and ensure compliance and accuracy for a large, international workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete payroll process for multiple territories, including UK statutory requirements.
• Lead the Dayforce implementation project and embed best‑practice payroll processes.
• Supervise a Payroll Administrator, allocate workloads and support professional development.
• Drive payroll strategy, oversee pay‑review projects and act as the primary escalation point for complex queries.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and key business stakeholders.
• Work flexible hours during processing weeks, covering at least three 11:00‑19:00 shifts on a rota.

Required profile

• Extensive end‑to‑end payroll experience, preferably managing 2,000+ employees.
• Strong international payroll background.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a payroll team.
• In‑depth UK payroll knowledge (PAYE, NI, auto‑enrolment, statutory payments).
• CIPP qualification or equivalent is desirable.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and confident independent decision‑making.
