Payroll Officer – Hybrid (1 day WFH)

About the role

Step into a payroll officer role where your expertise directly impacts up to 2,000 payees across diverse industries. You’ll join a supportive team of four, delivering accurate, high-quality payroll services in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles.
• Provide excellent customer service to line managers and payees.
• Handle statutory deductions, RTI submissions and liaise with HMRC.
• Administer the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and ensure compliance with payroll legislation.
• Use computerised payroll systems (training provided on in-house software).

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of payroll experience (industry or practice background welcomed).
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and processes.
• Experience with CIS, statutory payments/deductions and RTI.
• Excellent communication, accuracy and a proactive, team-focused attitude.
