PCV Bus Driver – Durham Depot

About the role

Arriva is looking for qualified PCV Bus Drivers to join its Durham depot. You will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on a variety of routes, ensuring punctual service and a positive experience for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a PCV bus on assigned routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
• Assist passengers, including school children, with boarding and alighting.
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment.
• Report any incidents, delays or vehicle issues to the depot manager.
• Participate in scheduled CPC training and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Valid PCV licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• At least 18 months of bus‑driving experience within the last 5 years (required for higher pay rate).
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
