PCV Bus Driver – Gillingham (Full‑time)

About the role

Arriva is looking for an experienced PCV licence holder to join our Gillingham depot as a full‑time bus driver. You will be the face of public transport in the community, helping commuters, shoppers and schoolchildren reach their destinations safely and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a passenger bus on assigned routes, adhering to timetables and safety regulations.
• Provide courteous customer service, assisting passengers with enquiries and boarding.
• Conduct pre‑journey safety checks and report any vehicle issues.
• Manage cash handling and ticket validation where required.
• Work shift patterns that include early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Required profile

• Valid PCV licence (or apply for trainee role if not yet held).
• Minimum 18 years of age with at least 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to work weekends as scheduled.
