PCV Bus Driver – Luton

About the role

Join Arriva at the Luton depot as a PCV Bus Driver and become a vital part of the local community. You will transport commuters, shoppers, schoolchildren and other passengers, ensuring they reach their destinations safely and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Operate PCV‑licensed buses on assigned routes across Luton and surrounding areas.
• Adhere to timetables, traffic regulations and safety procedures.
• Assist passengers with boarding, alighting and any special needs.
• Collect fares, issue tickets and handle cash securely.
• Perform basic vehicle checks before and after each shift.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Valid PCV licence (or willingness to join the trainee programme).
• No more than six penalty points on your driving licence.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
• Strong customer‑service attitude and good communication skills.

Required skills

• Safe driving techniques and knowledge of road rules.
• Basic vehicle inspection and reporting.
