About the role

Academics is partnering with a well‑established Alternative Provision school in Milton Keynes to recruit a passionate Physical Education (PE) Teacher. The role is full‑time and offers either a permanent or a temp‑to‑perm contract, allowing you to develop a lasting impact on young learners in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inclusive, high‑quality PE lessons that encourage participation, confidence and resilience.
• Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of students, fostering a safe and engaging learning atmosphere.
• Promote personal development and positive relationships through sport and physical activity.
• Collaborate with the wider teaching team to integrate PSHE elements where required.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching PE in a secondary or alternative provision setting.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of a broad range of sports and physical activities.
• Effective classroom management and lesson planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
