PE Teacher – Secondary School (Key Stages 3‑4)

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher for Key Stages 3 and 4 at a well‑known faith‑based secondary school in North London. The role starts in September 2026 on a full‑time, permanent basis and involves delivering high‑quality PE lessons to mixed‑ability pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging PE lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- Assess and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities and fixtures with partner schools.
- Maintain and develop the school’s sports facilities and equipment.
- Collaborate with the wider PE department to share best practices and develop the curriculum.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an equivalent overseas qualification leading to QTS.
- Experience teaching the National Curriculum in a mixed‑ability secondary setting (NQT or experienced teacher welcomed).
- Ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learners and promote inclusion.
- Strong enthusiasm for sport and its role in promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Required skills
- Capability to deliver a broad range of sports disciplines.
- Confidence in planning and assessing GCSE‑level PE.
