About the role
Cover People are recruiting a Physical Education (PE) Teacher for a secondary academy (ages 11‑16) in Bury, Greater Manchester. The role starts in September 2026 and is a full‑time, long‑term position, ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who will receive a dedicated mentor for at least one full term.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress.
- Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
- Support the academic and personal development of all learners.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Passion for teaching and pupil progress.
