Peer Coordinator – Part‑time (14 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Peer Coordinator to join our prison‑based substance misuse service across HMP Send and HMP Coldingley. Working 14 hours per week, you will help empower adults in custody to recover from drug and alcohol issues by developing and overseeing peer‑support programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and supervise Peer Supporters and Health & Wellbeing Champions.
• Design, deliver and coordinate peer‑led interventions within prison settings.
• Build positive relationships with service users, prison staff and the wider healthcare team.
• Champion recovery, health and wellbeing initiatives and support awareness events.
• Monitor outcomes, maintain accurate records and produce regular reports.
• Serve as the primary contact for peer supporters across the service.

• Strong commitment to recovery, wellbeing and person‑centred support.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others toward positive outcomes.
• Organised, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities.
• Effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
