Penetration Tester

About the role

As a Penetration Tester at Claranet you will deliver web, mobile and infrastructure security assessments, working directly with clients and internal teams to uncover vulnerabilities and advise on remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform web‑application, mobile‑application and infrastructure penetration testing engagements.
• Provide bespoke consultancy, analysis and remediation advice to key clients.
• Collaborate with other Claranet business units on large digital transformation projects.
• Support pre‑sales and post‑sales activities, including white‑paper and advisory writing.
• Develop and deliver webinar content and contribute to research and development initiatives.
• Work towards CREST qualifications (CPSA, CRT, CCT) and maintain professional certifications.

Required profile

• Client‑facing with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel for onsite work and to conduct testing outside normal office hours when required.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and a desire to continuously develop security testing capabilities.
• Security clearance (or eligibility) and relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Required skills

• Web, mobile and infrastructure testing methodologies.
• Manual exploitation of web‑application and network vulnerabilities.
• Programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java.
• Scripting languages: Ruby, Python, Perl.
