Pension Calculation Analyst

About the role

The Pension Calculation Analyst will join the Solutions Team in London, working hybrid. The role involves defining and developing standard pension calculations and ensuring new requirements align with the operating model. The business is expanding with recent scheme wins, offering growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the company methodology and process for calculation development, understanding dependencies on other systems and business tasks.
• Analyse new and existing calculations, scheme rules, technical documentation and legislation to produce detailed calculation specifications.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, client project analysts, technical and operations teams on implementations, projects and change.
• Work with the Product Manager to support new and existing product development related to calculations.
• Mentor junior team members and lead within the Solutions Team.
• Support the introduction and adoption of new procedures through documentation and communication.
• Assist business development opportunities and change management initiatives.

Required profile

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and taking a lead role.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Effective communication across technical and business stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Defined Benefit (DB) calculations (retirement, transfer, death).
• Good technical knowledge of Defined Contribution (DC) calculations.
• Ability to extract technical information from scheme rules and documentation.
