Pensions Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pensions Administrator to join a leading UK consultancy and administration firm in Newcastle. You will deliver high‑quality administration services across a diverse portfolio of pension schemes while working in a flexible hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day pensions administration tasks for defined benefit, defined contribution, CARE and hybrid arrangements.
• Support key annual projects such as benefit statements, scheme renewals and pension increases.
• Perform and verify manual and automated pension calculations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client and member queries.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pensions administration, particularly with defined benefit schemes.
• Strong understanding of current pensions legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Confidence handling calculations, member events and complex queries.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
