People Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a People Advisor to support the Human Resources function of a not‑for‑profit organisation in Liverpool. The role will help deliver a positive, inclusive employee experience during periods of organisational change.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance on employee‑relations issues arising from restructures, redundancies and redeployment.
• Assist in planning and delivering change programmes, including consultation, timelines and implementation plans.
• Prepare and distribute change‑related documentation and coordinate stakeholder meetings.
• Support managers through coaching, training design and delivery to build capability in managing change.
• Facilitate onboarding, off‑boarding and redeployment activities across People and Operations teams.
• Monitor, analyse and report on people metrics such as turnover, engagement, absence and redeployment outcomes.
• Act as first point of contact for employee and manager queries related to change initiatives.
• Promote wellbeing, diversity, equity and inclusion throughout change processes.
• Identify risks and issues, escalating where appropriate and recommending solutions.

Required profile

• Experience advising managers and employees on change‑related HR matters.
• Strong understanding of employment legislation and best practice in employee relations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to analyse data and produce clear reports.
• Proactive, solution‑focused attitude with sound judgement.
