People Advisor – Private Healthcare

About the role

Join a respected independent healthcare provider as a People Advisor, supporting a busy hospital environment in Surrey. You will partner closely with senior leadership and managers, influencing the full employee lifecycle while contributing to a patient‑focused culture.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the trusted HR contact for managers and staff across the site.
• Provide advice on employee‑relations matters, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance issues.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and induction activities.
• Maintain HR data accuracy, manage systems and ensure process compliance.
• Coordinate learning and development initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with department leads to promote effective people practices.

Required profile

• Experience in a generalist HR or People Advisor role.
• Solid employee‑relations knowledge with confidence supporting managers.
• Good understanding of UK employment law and best practice.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong stakeholder skills.
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) desirable.
