People Partner

About the role

This role is based in Manchester and sits at the heart of the People Team, shaping and delivering people priorities across the business. As a trusted adviser to senior leaders, you will translate people strategies into practical actions that strengthen capability and support organisational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to deliver people plans aligned with business priorities.
• Act as a trusted adviser, coaching managers and providing pragmatic advice on people decisions.
• Shape and implement activities across organisational effectiveness, talent, succession, capability, engagement and workforce planning.
• Support cyclical processes such as performance management, pay review and succession planning.
• Collaborate with the People Business Partnering Team and specialist centres (Reward, Employee Relations, EDI, Talent Acquisition).
• Use data, insight and continuous improvement to identify opportunities and enhance ways of working.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a generalist HR or People Business Partner with ownership of relationships in a defined business area.
• Experience partnering with Directors, Heads of Department or senior operational leaders.
• Experience delivering performance management, talent reviews and pay review cycles.
• Experience coaching managers and influencing decision‑making across a broad range of people matters.
• Experience supporting organisational change and implementing people initiatives in a complex environment.
• Experience role‑modelling equality, diversity and inclusion in everyday business partnering.
