People Relations Advisor

About the role

This is an opportunity to join a forward‑thinking newly formed People & Culture team where your expertise will make a genuine impact across the business. You will work on a diverse range of employee relations matters, contribute to strategic initiatives, and help shape a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance on a broad range of employee relations matters.
• Manage a varied caseload including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, and other people‑related cases.
• Partner with managers and leaders to support effective people management and decision‑making.
• Influence and challenge stakeholders to ensure consistent application of policy and best practice.
• Support the delivery of the People Relations strategy and contribute to wider People & Culture initiatives.
• Analyse case trends and people data to identify opportunities for improvement and proactive interventions.
• Develop strong relationships across the business to understand operational challenges and provide practical HR solutions.
• Deliver guidance, coaching and training to managers to enhance their people management capability.
• Support policy reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of people processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues across People & Culture to ensure a consistent and high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a People Relations or Employee Relations focused role.

What we offer

• Salary £35,000‑£43,000 per annum.
• Full‑time permanent contract.
• Hybrid working model based in Ipswich.
